Butterfly Wings

A butterfly may flap its wings in Aquavy... and cause a typhoon to assault Weltall.

For every now and then there are hints of plots both real and imagined. Every now and then, a person stops and blinks. Every now and then, a person has a run-in with something they're not quite sure about. Usually they move on, or are forgotten. But, every now and then, someone wakes up and wishes for the Power...

As a note, most of these logs are bits and pieces of other storylines, or just couldn't fit in anywhere else. A lot of them are the barest hints of ongoing conspiracies, or stories that shouldn't be organized anywhere else. Do forgive. (^_^)

As a note, these logs were demanded in large amounts from various RPers, and so are old, contain large amount of minor conversations, etc, etc. They have been edited for spoilers for some people, but we may not have picked up all of them. If you are in one of these logs and want a part (or the entire thing) removed, simply ask Dominia or Kelvena. It's that simple. (^_^)

Logs:

Ministers Dead and Alive: Minister Dinah:

An ongoing plot run by the Gazel Ministry, the Dinah's Mansion TP is yet unfinished.

That's... a lot of blood.: Just after the recapture of Julian, Luka and Asher make their way to the Ezekiel Lounge to relax. However, the tricks of Dinah definately stop that from happening, since she fills the room with... well, let's just say, that's a /lot/ of blood. (8/16/00))
By Which We Think To Understand One Another.: This log happened a day later, but was set just after the flooding of the Lounge. In it, Kelvena stops by to visit Luka, and finds her to be quite unhappy with Dinah's tricks. And, because conversation between Luka and Kel can never keep to one subject alone, they also talk about Khiea and Ramsus. ^.^ (8/17/00))
A Present for You!: Dinah continues to pull her tricks upon Solaris, this time possessing Karen and causing her to deliver flowers to Luka... of a most unpleasant nature. The Doctor retaliates, in turn, by immedietly finding Roni. (8/21/00))
Indiana Sirus and the Mansion of DOOM!: Ryukumu, Sirus, and Karen all enter the Mansion of Dinah at last. There, they encounter... various stories of the past, a Chu-chu that is a little bit too cheerful, and a vast number of traps and mysteries. (9/?/00))
Indiana Sirus and the Mansion of DOOM!... Pt. 2.: Continuing to explore the Mansion, Ryukumu, Sirus, and Karen all discover more of the Mansion's interior, and possibly more information about the Minstry and the world. (9/?/00))

Nortune: City of Steel and Steam:

Nortune has its share of problems, even though there are really very few active players there. (^_^)

Aren't You Supposed to Be in Dazil?: Simo, back in his hometown, has an enigmatic conversation with Samaeul. (7/10/00))
I Arrested a Good Man...: Citan and Elly stop by Nortune, only to discover a wounded Kale. While they try to save his life from his wounds, the two discover that Rico has been recently reimprisoned. (7/12/00))
Senchei? A Peacemaker?: At the start of a fight between Talon and Kale in Nortune, Senchei happens to wander by. What she sees sends her straight to Liete (and through all the security protocals) with Ryan_Jackson at her side. Afterwards, Senchei has a short chat with a prisoner named Brace before moving onwards. ((7/13/00))
Um, Medic?: Sent to Nortune to pick up a Gear of his own at last, Ryan_Jackson runs into a little trouble with the locals. He is helped out by a man named Maverick, and the two talk about Fei. ((Unknown, during Nortune A-Block Bombing))
The Crowds Can Be Murder Here.: Ryan_Jackson continues his work in Nortune to pick up a Gear, and meets with a woman named Tolen. After talking, the two go to Latina's Bar to talk about the recent bombing in A Block. There, they meet Simo, who has been blamed for the explosion, as well as a prisoner named Brace. ((7/16/00))

Scattered Pieces Everywhere:

Don't let me interrupt...: Miriam, walking along the paths from Nisan, has a rather interesting encounter with Daos. Michael_Fenn shows up for a few lines, and then Karagin steps in to talk to Daos privately. (3/26/00))
In the End, We are Just Children.: Back in the Lucky Avenue Bar, Malkhan regales the group of Rani, Kyle, Hawk, Lorienn, and Miriam with stories about Gears and legends. (3/31/00))
Consider Me a Savior.: After Alex and Billy are rescued from Malenkov's desert base, Emeralda runs to Shevat with Billy. This leaves Alex with Senchei, to feed him soup and smile at him for a short time. ((4/28/00))
The Gift of Forgetting.: Alex wakes up again in the Ethos, to discover that Senchei may not be acting out of good will alone. Sari shows up to keep Senchei from simply killing the young man. So, anyone else feel like asking for Senchei's generosities? (X_x) ((4/29/00))
Pitas with Lamb Meat.: Calif, on his way through Dazil, encounters what looks like a stray Etone... named Jonah. The two have a brief conversation. ((5/9/00))
Just a Maid.: Senchei arrives to speak with Ramsus while the Commander is searching for Miang in Nisan, but her initial visit is cut short when Ramsus recieves two other visitors. Senchei's response? And you wondered why Ramsus was sitting in Nisan for a week in a bathrobe. ((5/15/00))
Should I Let You Out? Or Play?: Another person to discover Senchei's strange idea of kindness is Juniper, who has been locked up in one of the Nisan Inn's Rooms while Senchei is visiting. Senchei ends up this time with a number of other personal items from yet another person. Where is she keeping all these things, and why? On second thought... maybe it's best not to know. (o_O) ((5/19/00))
Play with Reality?: Senchei really, really liked Nisan, apparently. Here she is again, this time stalking Daos while a strange man named Arwen is in tow. (Warning: Daos spoilers) ((5/21/00))
See the sky and then decide...: After breaking one of Alex's fingers and then finishing pouring mindaffecting liquids down his throat, what left has Senchei to do to him? Apparently, to ask him to find a new reason for living. Wierd. ((5/26/00))
How's that coffee?: Kiara, just after her promotion to the Imperial Guard, is called in for a brief meeting with Cain, Luka, and Roni. The group has coffee and brief conversation, in the stripe of idle plotters with nothing better to do. ((6/21/00))
Survive the Placement of the Puzzle.: On the bridge of the Emperor's yacht, the Kyuukei gear, Kiara reports back to Cain and Luka after visiting the Desert base. Afterwards, Luka and Cain talk about Miang and the Fatimas. (Warning: Miang, Cain, and Luka spoilers) ((6/26/00))
Beings of Power? Nice to meet you.: Right after Luka has Sirus's health tested in a routine check before they go down to the surface, the two have the luck to encounter Grahf and Miang in the Ezekiel Gear Bay. And to make things stranger, for... apparently /whim/, Luka smiles and pretends to be nothing but a psychologist. (O_o) And to not recognize either Miang nor Grahf, although the Doctor slips in a pointed note about having known to Miang at the very end. ((7/18/00))
This is the Price for Freedom.: A few people know about Luka's loyalty treatments. Kelvena has the luck to be in the Ezekiel's labs in time to see that one of them is a person who, in theory, should not be interfering with the Doctor's mental reprogamming. Kelvena and Jonah talk for a while before the log becomes so filled with spoilers that it has to be entirely cut. Also, the first part of the log is a /long/ monologue by Luka herself about the nature of the treatments she undergoes. As it is, the log itself is already /filled/ with spoilers. ((7/21/00))
People will say we're in love.: Outside of Bledavik's gates, one of the remaining schoolgirls of Adesha encounters a man named Casske, and then a woman named Senchei who claims to know her. In the middle of this, Jessie appears. ((8/29/00))
This is Your Choice.: Senchei's a busy soul indeed! Right after her encounter with Jessie, she goes up to Solaris in the uniform of an Earth Element to visit Talon. Trapped in isolation for the last few months, Talon is not exactly pleased with life. Senchei, however, points out a very simple offer to him. ((8/29/00))
Remind Cain to burn that doll...: While Cain is off with his eternal rejuvinations, Luka has taken up the Throne... doing mostly paperwork. A former Minister, however, decides to pay her a short visit. ((9/2/00))
She Who Hears the Word from Above.: Would you believe... the current leader of the Ethos? The Bishopess Erine stands around in Dazil at night, waiting for a visitor named Metatron. The two gossip about current events. ((12/24/00))
Lie to Me Some More.: This log is... strange. (X_X) Senchei and Luka have a discussion in Luka's room, and talk about... all manner of really confusing things, that probably would make more sense if the major spoilers hadn't already been cut out. But, as it stands, this log is... /strange/. And filled with too many spoilers anyway. (O_O) (Warning: Luka and Senchei spoilers. And very confusing.) ((1/9/01))
Catch!: Out in the Aveh desert, Luka and Fukano take a moment to themselves to enjoy the quiet evening... with a little game of practice while they're out. ((2/1/01))
A Riddle?... An Enigma?... A Friend.: Finally coming back to Blackmoon Forest, Senchei examines a grave, and leaves a marker for it of her own. Kale encounters her there, and then Ildon, his hobgoblin, and Jalon stop by. Kale talks about his life, and Senchei provides him an offer... ((2/7/01))
Look! A log on the Thames! (^_^): How nice! This log continues the story of Kale after his encounter in Blackmoon, as the demihuman travels with Jalon to the Thames. The two think about settling in there, and have a look around. ((2/8/01))
The Sword and the Scabbard.: Past the main islands of Aquavy, on one of the many cliffsides, Metatron stands by itself in the night. Xeero flies by, and they fall into conversation about the nature of weapons... and about those who may or may not have been made in certain ways, and how to tell. (Warning: Xeero spoilers) ((2/12/01))
None Will Oppose Me!: Kale and Jalon continue to settle into life on the Floating City, and meet Joseph, who is searching for parts for the Tournament. And... a lot of ammunition. (o_O) ((2/13/01))

The Contact and Those Who Seek Answers:

Beauty... and the Beast?: Viriginia works in the Nisan Cafe, and has an encounter with an individual who is not as entirely as cruel as he looks. Rico orders a meal from her, and they both talk. (3/26/00))
Stew, anyone?: One rainy day in Blackmoon finds Virginia in the shelter of Ildon's tent, where the young woman talks about her quest to find Fei, and Ildon thinks about what he knows. (2/4/00))

A ferry's ride away!: Along with Ildon, Virginia travels back to Nisan via the Ferry. They rest during the voyage, and Virginia is reunited with her friends back at the Cafe. (3/26/00))
Close Encounters of the Power Kind.: In Blackmoon Forest, Daos meets Fei briefly, before realizing that the two should not exactly be in an extended meeting with one another. Daos runs, and narrowly escapes from a confused Fei, and Sage nearly gets caught up in things before deciding to leave. (Warning: Daos spoilers) ((5/5/00))
Before the Storm.: Two people sit alone near the shoreline of the Ethos... Fei to practice, and Miriam to think. Eventually they both finish, and talk to each other, about what Fei believes in and what Miriam might follow. (8/19/00))
