((3/4/00, logged by Yui)) Yggdrasil, Bridge This is a massive room, circular in shape and lined in multiple machines designed to control every aspect of the Yggdrasil's movement. Charts and maps line one area, sound equipment another. This entire complex area is truely built for power. Upon the floor is the Symbol of the Yggdrasil- A 'Y' encased in a circle. You can go up to the Control of the ship or leave through the to the Main Enterance. Contents: Maison Sigurd Sirus Bart Citan enters the Bridge. Citan has arrived. Bart blinks a few times as down-to-earth thoughts rush back into his head. "Hrm, what?" He spits out. He wrinkles his brow and looks between the three of them. "No... nothing's wrong." Midori enters the Bridge. Midori has arrived. Bart raises his eyebrow as he looks over to the others entering. He hesitates a moment, then pushes himself up off the railing with his hands, and wanders over in their direction. "Hey Citan." He says with a little smile before looking to Yui and Midori. "And...?" Maison turns around as Bart greets Citan to do the same, "Why, good day Citan," he says, bowing. "I am not sure I have been introduced to your family," he says. Sigurd blinks quietly, glancing over his shoulder, then half turning to look at the three new arrivals, quiet for now. Citan nods to the Young Bartholomew as he enters the Yggdrasil's Bridge. He steps aside to show view to his wife and young daughter, "Good day," he exchanges greetings, "This is my wife Yui and daughter Midori." Maison turns to the wife and child, "Why, hello Miss Uzuki and Midori," he bows again to them, "a great pleasure to meet you." Sigurd leans on the railing, reguarding them. "Didn't know you had a family, Hyu." Yui grants a light, polite little smile, nodding to Maison before shifting her glance to the rest of those who cast something of a quizzical, questioning glance. As simply calm as ever, she responds only, "Its a great pleasure to meet you all. I've heard quite a bit about all of you." Bart scratches the back of his head as he surveys them discreetly. He nods idly and just spits out. "Oh." He then flinches, almost as if he knows that Sigurd is going to yell at him for being rude. He smiles half-warmly and then adds "Yeah... likewise." to Yui's 'pleasure' comment. Citan lets his eyes drift over to Sigurd for a moment before taking a sudden intrest in cleaning the lenses of his glasses. Bart has connected. Bart folds his arms and informs the Citan clan "We're headed to the Thames... you coming?" He smiles genuinely-warmly at Midori and says "I can show you how to play cards, if you come." Midori doesn't smile back. She just stands there behind her mother. Maison hms, and shrugs, "I suppose your daughter is nervous, after all she's a long way from home," he smiles, then says "it's alright," he directs this at Midori. Bart peers at the girl. "Is something wrong?" He gives a crooked grin and reassures her "We're all nice here, really. It may not /smell/ like it, but..." He shakes his head slowly and looks over his shoulder. He points over to the wheel with his thumb and says "Sigurd, take us outta here." Yui glances down at Midori, ever smiling faintly, lightly, something of a quietly knowing serenity if nothing else, before she glances to Bart, as if offering some sort of justification, "She's simply a bit shy, that's all." Sigurd smirks a little at Citan, but the expresion is quickly lost behind his stoic masquerade as Bart addresses him. "Of course, Young Master." Maison smiles at Yui, "well, it's alright. I don't mind," he says. Sigurd heads over to the wheel and takes the sandcruiser out... hesitating and glancing at Bart, immediately noting the unusual angle at which the ship rests. "Repairs weren't very complete ne, Young Master...?" Sirus remains silent, mostly oblivious to the scene behind him, he is currently content to keep an eye on all the controls of the Ygg. Maison turns to Bart, "Ah, this will be a wonderful excursion I hope," he says, "I rather like the Thames...sometimes." Bart turns back around and watches Sigurd control the still-badly-damaged ship (It was underwater.) He shakes his head slowly. "No... not FULLY, but it shouldn't be a problem at all." He then notices that the ship is shaking quite a bit. "Can you please hold it still, though? There's kids onboard." Sigurd says, "I am doing my best, Young Master. The damage to the ship makes it nex to impossible to navigate with." Bart sighs lightly and ponders the thought. "Well, I'm sure you can make it to the Thames, right?" Maison looks around as the less than pleasant ride continues, "I think it might be just rusty....but that's my opinion." Yui pauses a moment as she listens to the quiet flow of words between them, a small flicker of concern crossing her expressions for the flicker of a moment, "Damages? This ship -is- safe, isn't it?" Sirus nods, "We wouldn't take it out to sea if it wasn't....right, Bart?" Sigurd nods, glancing back at Bart, then Yui. "I believe so." Turns a questioning gaze to Bart for confirmation. Maison turns to Yui, "Oh, it's safe...we had salvaged it from under the sea...so it's still...," he cuts himself off, "Oh, we'll be fine, i'm sure." Citan shifts his weight, a small glance behind to his awaiting family, "Perhaps it would be best if I show you and Midori around the Yggdrasil. I am positive that Sigurd will get us safely to the Thames." Bart waves his hand. "Yeah, of course it's safe. 15 years and hundreds of attacks from the enemy, and it's still in near-perfect condition." He wrinkles his nose. "Just... we still have a /small/ hole in the hull..." Maison looks at Bart, "Erm...young master? How /small/ is this hole?" Sigurd murmurs, "Very reassuring, Maison." Shakes his head and focuses on piloting the ship, not liking the sound of this... Yui is not much for the knowledge of ships. One generally does not find a number of them in Shevat or Lahan, after all. Still, she frowns softly, musing rather aloud, "A hole in the hull? Wouldn't that mean this ship would be taking on water..?" She pauses a moment, shaking her head, banishing the glance of worry from her expressions, casting a smile to Citan, "Well, I'm sure there's nothing to worry of. A tour of sorts? That'd be wonderful... Wouldn't it, Midori?" Bart taps his foot lightly. He answers Maison with "Small... Six, Seven feet at most." He adds "But don't worry... I got reassurance from the Captain that it wouldn't affect desert travel." He seems satisfied. Maison puts his palm to his face, "Oh my..." Sirus turns to Bart, looking only slightly anxious, "Um...did he say anything about ocean travel...?" Bart raises his eyebrow as he looks in Sirus' direction. "Well, I figured that that's implied..." Maison looks at Bart, "i'm sure it's alright...I mean, we got to the hideout just fine, right?" Bart nods at Maison. "My thoughts exactly." Sigurd blinks and looks sharply at Bart. "You traveled with that much damage still do--" Cuts off as the ship suddenly lurches, gripping the wheel tightly for leverage, hissing a curse under his breath. Maison almost loses his footing at the sudden turn, "Oh, Young Master...we should have worked on it a little more...I think." Bart stumbles foward slightly and clutches onto the railing. "Sheesh, Sig! Concentrate on the..." He hesitates as he realizes that several warning lights flash on. "What'd you do now..." Sirus stumbles back a bit before regaining his posture, "Man, I really hate Murphy's law...." Yui stumbles a bit as the ship shifts, her eyes widening in surprise. She manages to keep her balance, glancing about at alarms and the reactions of those who were, but moments before, stating lightly the safety of the lot of this, as she mutters simply, "Oh my.." Sigurd says, "We hit something, Young Master...." Bart walks up behind Sigurd and asks "Is it okay?" Sirus raises an eyebrow in intrigue, "Hit something?" Citan stumbles, coming close to losing his footing. Regaining his balance, he spins to watch Sigurd to access the significance of the problem. Maison looks at Sigurd, "We what?!" Midori scrambles over to her mother, apparently undaunted by the sudden movement of the ship. Sigurd looks completely confused... he was certain there was nothing in the way of their travel. Shakes his head, looking very annoyed at himself for his carelessness. "The Ygg can't travel much further. We have to find a place to land..." Bart groans and rolls his eyes. "I'll give you a place -- The Thames." He glances back to catch everyone else's reaction to the 'place to land' statement. He looks back over Sigurd's shoulder. "Come on, now... it's only a litte further, right?" Sirus sighs, "Great, are there any suitable pleaces around?" Maison shrugs, then looks at Sirus, "do you have a map?" he asks. Sigurd says, "Young Master, we'll sink before we reach the Thames." Sirus shakes his head, "No....and i'm not to familiar with the Aquavy area." Maison hmms... Bart drops his jaw. "SINK?" He sighs and wonders aloud "Are you KIDDING me." He gestures backwards towards the door. "Some first impression for our guests, huh?" He clenches his teeth and throws out "Just... pull into the nearest island." Maison sighs, "I hate it when this happens..." Sigurd looks about ready to snap at Bart for the impression comment, but keeps his mouth shut, steering for an island they passed just a moment ago. Yui puts a hand to her head, as if comforting something of a momentary headache, "...Sink? This ship is going to.." She sighs lightly, "Oh, my.." Is something that she can only manage, casting something of a questioningly concerned glance to Citan. Yet in all its innocence of questioning, even it seems to hold a 'What have I gotten into?' sort of tone. This was only meant to be a friendly visit, after all.. Sigurd says, "Everyone grab on to something... This grounding isn't going to be very smooth." Maison immediately walks over to the rail and gets a firm hold on it. Sirus nods and grabs on to the railing, preparing for some major turbulence. Midori gets nervous. Something is clearly bothering her. She grabs ahold her mother's arm for support. Maison groans, "Young master. Next time please make sure everything is in order BEFORE we leave..." Citan takes hold of the rail, ushering his family over. Midori walks over and takes hold of the rail with her father. She is clearly still /very/ uneasy. Yui grabs onto the railing, noting Midori's expression all the while. Something of a purely distressed look crosses her face as she glances to Citan a moment, knowing that a distraught Midori is.. Probably something more an omen than not.. Bart looks back to Yui with a look of reassurance. "Don't worry, please... it's not like this hasn't happened before." He smiles and turns back to Sigurd. "Right." he says as he lifts up and rests a forearm on Sigurd's shoulder instead. Sigurd clenches his jaw, trying to keep the ship sailing straight for the beach, but the navigation is almost nonexistant. "Young Master, hold on to the railing, not me. This isn't going to be like other landings." His tone unintentionally harsh under the stress of making the unavoidable crash landing do as little damage as possible, and having little luck in slowing the ship. Midori begins to panic in the prospect of landing on the beach before them. Bart sighs lightly. "Yes, well..." He shakes his head. "I'm just trying to make it look like I know what I'm doing, y'know?" He folds his arms for a moment before remembering what he's supposed to be doing, and hops over and grabs onto the railing. Sigurd braces himself, the ship scraping the shallow water making the whole thing vibrate, then suddenly lose momentum as the bow hits the beach, throwing everyone foreword with the impact. Maison almost flies over the rail and is then thrown back, "Oh!" he says, as his glasses fall to the floor. Sirus flies forward, but keeps a stury hold on the rail and is instead flipped over it on to the ground with a thud, "oof..." Midori starts to tumble, still clinging to the railing. A small scream escapes her and she leaches on to her mother's arm. Bart lurches foward and snaps back as his arm stops him. "Erk..." he forces out as he looks around to make sure everyone is okay. Yui clings desperatly to the railing all the while, flinching faintly as the ship comes to a harsh stop. She glances swiftly to Midori as she screams, putting an arm around the small girl's shoulders as soon as the ship steadies, "Are you all right, Midori?" Sirus sits up slowly, rubbing the back of his head, "Thats a ride i'd prefer not to take again..." Midori shakes her head violently, a paniced look on her face. Even thought the ship has stoped, she does not calm down. Sigurd had gotten himself thrown against the wheel, but when the ship finally stops, he steps back, looking back to the others, then Midori. "...." Maison coughs, and looks around, "My glasses...Young Master?" Citan regains his balance from the rough stop of the ship, turning to Midori after carefully scrutinizing the condition of the members of crew. A worried look crosses his face at his daughters panicked expression, "Everything is fine now Midori." Bart lets go of the railing, and nods at Maison. In one quick movement he hunches down and scoops up the glasses, holding them out in Maison's direction as he turns to Sigurd. 'Well... now what." Maison takes the glasses and puts them on, "Thank you Young Master...," he then looks around, "so now what?" Yui smiles softly, her words quieted, held calming as best she can, "Its all right, Midori.. Its all okay now. There's nothing to worry of at all." Sigurd is silent, looking at Midori, then out the viewport, his expression pensive, almost worried. Bart sighs and says. "Well... I guess we're kinda stuck, huh Sig?" Maison looks at Bart, "Young Master...i'd repeat it again, but I don't want to." Sigurd still paying no attention to Bart, or anyone, his attention focused outside. Bart nods at Maison. "Yes... neither do I." He looks to Sigurd. "Well? I suppose we'd better go outside and scope out the damage. Right?" He taps his foot impatiently. "Sig?" Sigurd says, ".... Midori has good reason to be paniced." Yui blinks a bit, somewhat taken aback by this sudden comment, turning her glance to Sigurd lightly, "What do you mean?" She questions lighlty, faintly. Bart sighs and wonders aloud. "Geez, what now, Sig??" Sirus sighs, "Well, I guess we should get out there..." Sigurd says, "Something isn't right. I can't place it, but I think she feels it to." Maison hmms, "so...we should try exploring our surroundings...at least." Bart nods lightly. He walks over towards the door slowly. Trying to make the best of the situation, he looks over to Yui. "Sorry." he says simply, before giving a little smile. He looks down to Midori as well, before wandering over to the door. Yui frowns lightly at this comment, rather silent in response. She knows her own daughter, of course, and the nature of her talents and thoughts... And knows quite well that if Midori is so worried, something is more than a shade awry. Which is not the most assuring thought in the world. Sigurd glances at Midori, then at Maison and nods, following Bart. Sirus begins to follow Bart outside, intent on getting to the ROOT of the problem. Maison decides to follow, what could there be on an island besides Hob Gobs? Bart exits the Bridge. Bart has left. Sirus exits the Bridge. Sirus has left. Sigurd pauses in the door, looking back to Citan. "Are you coming, Hyu?" Maison exits the Bridge. Maison has left. Citan 's eyes turn to his old friend for truely the first time on this voyage, "I would asume it would be for the best." Sigurd offers a quiet smile, then turns and follows after the others. Sigurd exits the Bridge. Sigurd has left. Citan exits the Bridge. Citan has left. Yui sighs lightly, casting a worried glance to Midori, "Should we follow, Midori? We don't have to if you are so worried..." Midori looks a bit distracted, but doesn't like the idea of staying, even though her mother is here. Yui nods lightly, "Then come on, dear... It will be all right." Sadryn Island, Rocky Beach, South This southern beachline to this island is quite likely the only readily and easily accessable points upon this island for passing by boats. Relatively free of rocks and blessed with water deep enough about this rim to support a ship without tearing full off the bottom, it seems rather.. Plain in many ways. The beach is mostly sandy, at least at this point upon the shoreline. The wind, dragged off of the surrounding ocean, is chill, with a short of biting edge to it. The winds are harsh and moderatly strong, carrying with them the threat of chains of stormings, not a trace of light piercing the thick masses of clouds above. Obvious exits: orth, or out to the cean. Contents: Citan Sigurd Bart Maison Sirus The BladeGash Gear The Sandcruiser, Yggdrasil Midori has arrived. Sigurd hops out just behind Bart, blinking at the Gear, then looks back at the Ygg as well, though his 6th sense is going crazy, keeping him tense. Bart points at the Ygg. "Sig, it's moving." And yes, it is... slowly being pulled out with the tide, until it hits deeper water and begins to float away. Bart just stands there, and says "This is never a good thing, right?" Sigurd says, "Ah... No." Maison looks at the Yggdrasil, "AH! No!!" he looks at it helplessly. Yui makes her way off of the Yggdrasil, frowning lightly as she notes that, well, its raining rather hard. And being drenched is never much of a fun experience. As she makes her way across the beach, she notes the direction everyone's gaze turns to, as she turns to watch the Yggdrasil. Eyes wide, she simply manages to stare. Sirus watches the Ygg float out to sea, he then take another look at the Bladegash, and stares out to the land ahead of them, "This....does not bode well." Bart takes a few steps towars the Ygg, which slowly floats away, and then drops down onto the wet sand and lays there getting soaked. "What the hell just happened..." Sigurd finally turns to survey the area, then looks to Yui... taking off his jacket and offering it to her. "It will keep you at least a little drier. Bart has disconnected. Yui grants a polite smile, taking the jacket lightly, "Thank you.." She grants, as polite as she can, yet still worry holds her motions and guise. She glances to Midori, frowning softly, wondering how well Midori is faring now that she has set foot upon this island which seems to trouble her so much. Midori looks panic stricken, now that there is no escape. Maison hmms, "So...we lost the Yggdrasil...now what do we do Sigurd?" he asks, trying to keep his cool. Sigurd stands there, drenched, but seeming not to care. "There are Gears here. So we are not completely stranded so far." Yui frowns, sympathy brilliant within her eyes, as she drapes the jacket so kindly offered to her across Midori's shoulders, careless of the rain, yet more than worried of how Midori's faring, "It'll be all right, Midori.." She only manages to say, quietly, although she's wondering herself how true that may be. Maison nods, "Yes...but I wonder where it's going to go now?" he thinks for a moment... Midori isn't bothered by the rain, but accepts the jacket for her mother's sake. She shivers, although not from the cold. Sigurd looks up at the gear again, a pensive frown crossing his expression. "Hyu, do you recognize this gear? It's vaguely familiar..." More like he just recognizes the Solarian touch rather than this specific gear. Maison looks at the gear, "Wait...come to think of it," he looks at it some more, then he looks at Citan. Citan places his hand on his chin as he inspects the gear, taking careful note of it's condition. " It is defiantly Solarian," he says simply, not bothering to reveal ho much more he knows of the Solarian gear sitting on the beach. Sigurd gives Citan a 'no kidding, I could have told you that' look. Yui frowns lightly, casting a glance to Citan before shifting her worried glance back to Midori. Its impossible, to the moment, to know what truly is worrying Midori.. But Solaris being here is not, in any way, manner, or form, reassuring. Citan coughs softly at Sigurd's look, "I believe it belongs one of the Elements." Maison widens his eyes, "Good god...an element?!" Sigurd sighs and folds his arms behind his head, looking off toward the rest of the island. "So at least one of the Elements is here...." Midori lets her eyes flash along the island as well, and she clings tightly to her mother, clearly still frightened of something. Yui shakes her head lightly, crossing her arms faintly to still something of a shiver, from the chill rain if nothing more. A simple visit.. This was only supposed to be a simple visit. And now the ship has crashed and drifted away, and they're on an Island with a Solarian Element. This day couldn't possibly get much worse. Sigurd says, as if on cue, "It's not the element that's giving Midori and I this feeling." Maison looks at Sigurd, "then what is it, do tell! I don't like surprises..." Sigurd his hands drop to his sides, already wishing he'd thought to bring along his Optical Whip, taking a short walk inland, away from the others. Maison sighs, "I don't like this one bit." Yui sighs faintly, glancing down at Midori with an honestly troubled frown, as she mutters, lightly, "Then what is wrong.. What is, indeed.." This is all quite unnerving, her promises of it being all right down to a quiet sort of murmer to the panicking Midori. Sigurd looks back at them, frowning to himself, looking back inland a final time before making his way back to the group, absently wringing the water out of his bangs. "Has anyone brought any weapons?" Though thinks he knows the answer... Bart has connected. The Sandcruiser, Yggdrasil wakes up. Maison and everyone stands here, speculating over the Solarian gear parked here and asking eachother questions. Maison shrugs, "I do not have weapons." Sigurd sighs, arms folding over his stomach, an involuntary shivver racing through him at the chill of the rain, his weight resting on his left foot, looking down at the damp sand, his expression one of deep thought. Maison wishes he had brought an umbrella in him and looks for a small palm tree to shelter him from the rain. Bart forces himself to his feet, a bit rejuvinated by the rain, actually. His hair is soaked and full of sand now, and clings to his skull. He heads over to the others and says "Well..." He looks up into the clouds. "Maybe we should seek shelter?" He actually smiles, in the middle of all this. "Hey, we could /make/ shelter! We can camp, like you and Maison used to take me, Sig." Sigurd looks up... offering a quiet smile to his young charge. "We could, I suppose. Do remember how?" Trying to at least lighten the situation. Maison turns around, "Of course, Young master!" he says, groaning because he didn't think of that, "We'll need something to build shelter WITH though." Bart shrugs lightly. "It's an island... there's sticks, there's leaves... right?" He idly scratches the back of his neck, which is relatively covered in bee stings still. "Well... I suppose we should go look for some, now." Edrick has arrived. Yui sighs lightly, glancing out over the sea a moment, before she turns slowly to face the lot of them. Rain soaked as she is, she doesn't seem to even notice or perhaps care to the moment, silently listening and watching, wondering for all the world what should be done. The idea of wandering around an island like this seems.. More than an ill idea, to her. Edrick arrives from the north again, gripping his scabbarded sword tightly. Maison nods, "Indeed, Young Master," he says. He turns, "Well, first, let us find some shelter to keep from freezing while we build our roof first thing," he suggests. Edrick glances up at the others as he trudges past, in a half-run, toward the ocean. Sigurd says, "Would standing under the Gear suffice? I don't like the idea of all of us wandering the island." Bart nods in agreement to Maison. "Well, off we go..." He follows Edrick with his eyes. "Erm..." He calls out to him. "Hey, you!" Sigurd notices Edrick and blinks. Maison looks at Edrick, "Who is that?!" Edrick turns momentarily. "You don't want to stay on this island," he says as he leaves. Edrick has left. Maison slumps forward, "What a boost of self esteem," he says. Bart watches the man walk into the ocean. "What the HELL??" He spits out. He shakes his head, as not to get his spirits down. "Well... let's march." Bart walks off to the north, and gestures to the others. "Well... on with it..." Bart has left. Maison follows Bart north... Maison has left. Citan has left. Sigurd follows afer Bart. Sigurd has left. Yui takes Midori's hand, casting a light smile down to her, "Would you like to continue on? We could just stand here, under that Gear.." She glances to the Bladegash, assuming by now that its empty, "It will give some shelter from the rain, if nothing more." Midori shrugs, implying that it doesn't matter either way.
