The Tides of Change: Kislev and Aveh

Peace comes to Jasper. Or does it?

For a new threat rises in the east, spreading soot-covered wings and riding the currents of steam... led by two Advisors and a Kaiser who has had his reasons for being mysteriously absent. And with a general who rides a red steed at the head of the troops...

As a note, these logs were demanded in large amounts from various RPers, and so are old, contain large amount of minor conversations, etc, etc. They have been edited for spoilers for some people, but we may not have picked up all of them. If you are in one of these logs and want a part (or the entire thing) removed, simply ask Dominia or Kelvena. It's that simple. (^_^)

Logs:

Jasper, Fort of Peace, Fort of War: The Jasper transformed itself into a place for diplomats to talk, as well as giving shelter to those who happened to travel with them.

Choices and Acceptance.: The last person at Jasper who happened to see the Empress was none other than Khiea herself. Luka stops by to reassure the young girl, and then rushes off on her fateful trip to the Nisan Cafe. ((3/4/00))
Weapons Get Damaged, Not Hurt.: After being damaged by Talon's intervention with his recovery, Lukev lies in pain in the hospital beds of Jasper. Daring an operation, he is barred without permission from a Krelian who is once more absent; instead, it is Kelvena who stops by to see him. ((3/5/00))
You mean... /she/ was /who/?: Collin, a Jugend student, happens to stop by the Control Room of Jasper for a peek at the Fort's computers, and encounters Kelvena. They talk about the Fort, and Kelvena gives Collin a briefing to keep in mind, as well as surprising the young man by letting him know about the kidnapping. ((3/6/00))
Keep Smiling...: The Control Room's busy! Har is working on sensors when a newly-recovered Lukev makes his way around. They both talk about Lukev's life, share some news about Talon, and Har tells a story! ((3/9/00))
What Matters is Afterwards.: Meanwhile, at Jasper, Khiea tiptoes warily around the Fort, in fear of encountering a Solarian who might not want her there. And who does she happen to run into, but... Ramsus, who is worried and concerned, but still dedicated. ((3/9/00))
The Solarians and the Pirates.: Back at the Fort, a wandering Xeero happens to encounter the Element of Water as she does her paperwork. ((3/13/00))
What More Could Go Wrong?: What, you thought the Elements would be doing nothing about this? (^_^) Tolone comes back from a patrol to report in with Ramsus, who asks her to keep an eye on things. ((3/16/01))
They make the strangest things in Solaris...: After Talon's interference with his recovery, Lukev is forced to use an exoskeleton to continue his duties. Kelvena stops by, with a get-well gift. ((3/23/01))
Yes, let's remember Nortune.: And, with very little fuss... who should reappear but Luka, after her equally abrupt kidnapping? Only she's a little different, but who's counting? (^_^) Collin runs into her in the Council Room while coffee gets passed back and forth. ((3/26/01))
Let Us Protect What We Can.: One quiet evening, Asher runs into Luka again, for the first time since they have been separated back in Nortune. Asher is reinvested in his duties, and Luka thinks. ((4/6/01))

Prisons of Steam and Steel: Peace between Solaris and Aveh... wasn't quite in Kislev's best interests.
Let Me Serve.: Coming back to Kislev to meet Elissa is Yasha, a Kislevi who arrives bearing a report... and a vow. ((2/25/01))
This is for Kislev.: Kyros, an agent sent by Liete, starts off the first of Kislev's involvement when he waits around Nisan for his two targets. Luka, having just run in a hurry to the Cafe to search for donuts, is one of those; Asher is the other. Later in Nortune, Liete attempts to explain the situation to both of them. ((3/4/01))
We Both Do What We Feel We Must.: Liete visits one of her new captives, worried about Luka's health, and attempts to explain her side of things. ((3/10/01))
Why Are We Parked Here?: Jessie, meanwhile, heads directly to Shevat, with Sigurd in tow, and asks Zephyr for information. The Queen replies tactfully, and Sigurd worries about being in the city again, since he almost had a part in an aborted invasion. ((3/10/01))
The Fate of Children Marked Special.: A Solarian Empress and a Shevvite Agent... what /will/ happen between the two when they finally meet in Nortune, especially when the latter has been ordered to bring Luka to Shevat's control? The result of the conversation surprises even Jessie. ((3/10/01))
May the Second Be Kind.: Late that night, Liete finally plays her card of the captives, assembling Luka and Asher together to remove their collars and to inform them where they will be going afterwards. Usso watches as Luka and Asher offer Liete a few words in exchange. ((3/12/01))
Just a little recon.: The recent occupation of Lahan has Yasha visiting it, to oversee the line that is formed by the Blackmoon Forest. In a short scene, the General decides to ask Usso to examine the woods. ((3/13/01))
If Not This God?...: Resting by herself in Nortune, Luka has another visitor, this time in the form of Roni. They talk about war and peace, and about Luka's health, which seems to be in a terrible state. And Luka has a request of the ghost before she's taken away... ((3/15/01))
Save War to War.: Asher, unhappy after his failed escape attempt, and now the last prisoner of the two in Nortune, is visited by Yasha with Usso in tow. Yasha has a minor ultimatium to deliver to Asher for his behavior. (O_o) ((3/19/01))
What did you learn?: Right after leaving the discussion with Asher, Yasha stops Usso and talks to him about the Solarian. She gives a little explanation with a smile, and listens to Usso's concerns, before giving him a few words too. ((3/19/01))
War Does What War Must.: After Asher's escape, Yasha is given the issue of following her own words to him or not. Her decision? Revealed partially in a demonstration to Usso, and the rest of the troop who was allowed to let Asher go... and a little girl named Mischa. ((4/5/01))

The Tournament: While Nortune plots to the north, the Aveh Tournament distracts to the south. What to do about the new peace and Shakhan? And what else is exactly going on here?

The Calm before the Storm.: Far to the north, in Nortune, four people assemble, to prepare themselves for the long trip to Aveh. Tifa, Dirah, Daniel and Cerencia discuss their misgivings and the roles they must soon pick up. ((3/9/01))
So who gets the nicer bed?: Having settled into one of the Bledavik Hotel rooms, Tifa, Dirah, Daniel and Cerencia all assemble to think about the new town and situation they have been placed in... as well as their mission. ((3/10/01))
An Orange is... um... Citan?: In Bledavik, Sigurd, Citan, and Xeero all meet after the first settings up of the Tournament occur. For an explanation of why Citan was laughing so much... look in Khiea's logs for that. ^.^;; ((3/10/01))
Fun with crowds!: An excavator named Alliah shows up to watch the Tournament, as everyone wanders around and prepares, and ends up being invited to the Cafe by Brace. Before she does, Joseph makes a showing, Bart and Sigurd get confused, Tsukai stands watch, and Xeero and Kale go through. ((3/10/01))
What Could Possibly Go Wrong?: Back in the Hotel, Dirah and Cerencia have dinner, and think about their own roles in the affair. They talk about the Tournament, and prepare for that night's rounds. ((3/17/01))
Yes, okay, now /give/ me that whip!: After Bart's defeat, Dirah attempts to sneak into the barracks and steal the young prince's weapons. However... Dirah runs into a little difficulty along the way, along with some reminiscing on Bart's part. ((3/23/01))
Wrong? Apparently... a lot.: After the tournament, Dirah and Cerencia's questions are answered when they are chased through the streets by Sigurd, and end up at last in their hotel room. They both come up with an emergency escape plan, and wonder where Tifa and Daniel could have gone off to. ((3/25/01))
But I Feel A Less Extreme Name Would Be...: Having managed to escape to the Dazil lines, Cerencia and Dirah meet a very safe and healthy Tifa. Daniel is still missing, but their worries are overcome by the sight of some of the rest of Liete's plan... . ((3/27/01))
Let Us Be Worthy Of Being Written.: Who would have expected a motivational speech, in the middle of the Dazil camp? (^_^) All things together, it's not entirely out of the question, for Yasha to stop by and end up talking with Dirah about the war and other plans... and about what the true roles of everyone just /might/ be. ((3/31/01))
