The Gebler: Where Do You Stand?

Last Updated: 6/4/01
Chances are, if you're a Lamb... six feet under.

If not, check here. ^_^

This is, so far, a tenative list. I am certain that I slipped up or offended in some way, but this is inadvertant. If you have any questions, comments, or issues about how the Solarian military has been organized, please send them to Dominia or Kelvena at this time.

As another note, if your character recieves a promotion (or demotion), then please alert Kelvena or Dominia. Also, we would like it if Krelian, Cain (handled by Luka at this time) or the Gazel were made aware of the action. This is because they do control the Solarian government, after all. (>_<)

I would like to thank Guardian Angels at this point, as their reference information was invaluable. Thanks, Amber and Calis! (^_^)

Looking for Information Still From:
Alisa
Riana
I could have sworn that Solaris had more than one General...
I also am missing information on people such as Elly's Team and Vanderkaum... I really should replay the game again.
Can I put the other former Elements down here? I don't think the information would be restricted, although it still doesn't mean that just any Gebler would recognize them on sight (and in some cases, not at all).

The Three Powers:
Krelian, Cain (Luka), and the Gazel Ministry

Comments: At this time, with Cain's reclusiveness, Dr. Luka Kalval has been left in charge of his authority. Dr. Kalval shows no signs of counteracting Krelian and the Ministry. /Very/ few people are aware that she is given intense monthly loyalty treatments that ensure that she continues to support Solaris faithfully, although the information is availible to access by anyone curious. Since Luka is as loyal with them as without, the treatments are largely pointless and should logically be stopped, but the Doctor herself insists on them, despite how dehabilitating they are to her health--further proof of dedication.

Luka herself has more involvement in Solaris than simply being Cain's replacement, as well as support, for she continues to rank highly in the Psychology Department, among others.

Guardian Angels:
Comments: Very, very few people know of the true identities of the supposed three Guardian Angels of Solaris. They are cases where their authority can be used without question, and without having to identify themselves, as they serve all three branches of Solaris. The one most likely to be known already serves in a higher capacity, and the next pretends to be Ramsus's Aide. The last is so far undercover that it is best not to wonder.

Commander:
Kahr Ramsus

Comments:
Ramsus is the military Commander of all of Gebler. Not much more needs be said. (^_^)
Although Ramsus has formerly been uninvolved with much of the Gebler activities, he has returned with a renewed willingness to invest himself in his duties. Apparently, his time off did him well.

The Elements:
Dominia Yizkor, Kelvena, Tolone, and Seraphita.
Comments:
While Kelvena is the technical leader of the Elements, Dominia takes command far more often, and with good reason.
Kelvena is also part of leading the Intelligence Bureau in some manner. This role has also been taken up actively by Luka, and rumors of something called the 'Parousia Project' exist in connection to Intelligence Operations. Kelvena also can take leadership over troops affiliated with Water, such as any spare Naval officers or troops.
Dominia is a force unto herself.
Seraphita supposedly has authority over the Special Forces/SpecOps Division when she wishes it.
Tolone logically has authority over the Air Force of Solaris.

There is the rumor of a group of Solarian agents akin to the Elements in position, termed 'the Heralds'. If they truly exist, then their role would be to support the Guardian Angels in the same way that the Elements do for Ramsus. However, if they are indeed aides to the Angels, it is no wonder that none have heard about them.
In the absence of Ramsus's orders, the Elements were 'adopted' by Luka. Although the Commander has shown a partial reinterest with the Elements, he has not disapproved yet of this 'big sistering' of them.

Aides, Guards, and Generals of the Three Powers:
Non-Military Aides:
Krelian's Branch: Saul, Lukev, Ayame
Cain/Luka's Branch: Miriam, Miang
The Ministry's Branch: Renbuu, the McKennitt Family, Karagin
Military Aides: Asher (Krelian), Stone/Erine (Ministry)
Generals: Landon

Comments:
Saul has his primary influence as Krelian's personal assistant and a scientist.
Lukev and Ayame are Krelian's bodyguards, and have no authority beyond that role, although it can be assumed that they can carry out orders as per Krelian's authority. Lukev, however, takes a rather broad interpretation of what should be done to keep Krelian safe, crushing any percieved resistance and performing actions such as taking command of local garrisons.
Miang Hawwa is only placed under Cain's branch because she is connected to Ramsus, and Cain has expressed a certain favoritism for the young man. Miang's true rank is known to those who need to. She is also officially listed as a former Air Element.
Miriam Delsic is an example of an official with no military power apart from her appointed role as Ramsus's /other/ Aide, and is also an Assistant to the Elements.

Renbuu is the Cardinal of the Ethos; this makes him the official head, even over Stone--although the two hold vastly different terrains--and is also the religious leader for the people of Solaris.

The McKennitt Family is a family of First Class Solarians who have been known to be the Ministry's favorite for quite some time. At the moment, the oldest daughter in favor is named Lorenna.

Asher Thancrus is a Major in command of approximately 200 Cobalt Wing Soldiers, leading this force under Krelian's orders. Apparently, Cobalt Wing has been quietly favored in the past by executive orders from Cain's branch of the government, leading to implications of other connections.
Stone (Isaac Stein) has a military rank of Commander, but it is incidental in comparison to the Ethos that he wields. In his absence, Erine has taken up the reins, but she has done nothing but continue to support Solaris and obey its wishes. Very few people, even in Solaris, know of the Solaris-Ethos connection. They are considered military influences because of the troops they may command if needed.
Landon signals the beginning of the paralleling of the traditional Military ranks. He has the backing of Minister Krelian, so he is also not one to be trifled with. He often carries out Krelian's orders for one project or the other, and he is rumored to be involved in slightly shady works because of this.

It is at this level that personal influences are the jurisdictions between those assigned here.

Official Military/Personal Forces:

Har Trepan, Major, Division: Tactics. Specialty: Surface-Air Coordinations
Clarth, Captain, Division: Imperial Guard
Arwen Foredo, 1st Lieutenant, Division: SpecOps.
Casske Klassa, 2nd Lieutenant, Division: Cobalt Wing
Ikken Hisatsu, General, Division: GA-GS
Joseph, Colonel, Division: GA-GS
Kale, Sergeant, Division: GA-GS
Duran, Private, Division: GA-GS
Lithia, Barkeep, Division: GA-GS

The Ethos's Elite Etones: Brothers Jordan, Robin, Kristos, and David

Comments:
This includes all divisions, such as the soldiers of Cobalt Wing, the four other members of the Imperial Guard, and the other divisions such as Tactics and Special Forces/SpecOps. Ranks here are accorded and obeyed within the same military standard, although one unit may have more authority depending on who is ordering them at the time.
Since this is the traditional army, saluting to superior officers and required respect for titles also begins to exist here.
Erine is technically an Elite Etone, but has been elevated in Bishop Stone's absence, by his own decree.
Kale is technically a Sergeant, but, given the rather odd configuration of the GA-GS, he's also second in command. Because the soldiers are (illogically) afraid of him, in person, he is a more commanding presence than Joseph.

The Gebler Anti-Gear Squadron is near the very bottom of the food chain, especially because most of its talent rapidly gets hired away. While its leader, Joseph, is thought of as a Colonel, the rank is more of a puppet title in comparison even to the rest of the Gebler, and primarily matters only within the GA-GS. Comparitively, it has been suggested that his rank translates to that of a Master Sergeant in terms of respect. Ikken Hisatsu is considered the General within the GA-GS, but, like Joseph, his rank outside of that is far different; he reports to Krelian directly, and has the same ranking as Krelian's bodyguards. Also, besides Ikken, most of the Solarian personnel seem to prefer talking to Kale then Joseph, possibly because Kale doesn't verbally assault them.

Thanks to Asher, we now have a general idea of ranks. These are as follows:
General
Lieutenant General
Major General
Brigadier General
Colonel
Lieutenant Colonel
Major
Captain
First Lieutenant
Second Lieutenant
Sergeant Major
Master Sergeant
Sergeant First Class
Staff Sergeant
Sergeant
Corporal
Private First Class
Private

Note: However, Commander doesn't appear anywhere on here... which matters because Sirus is a former Lt. Commander, and Stone/Erine a Commander. Thanks to Sirus, though, it seems that those ranks are in the Navy, so... a Lt. Cmmdr is the ranking of a Major, and a Cmmdr is a Lt. Col, I think? ^.^

Please note that, unless you have a very, very good reason, all starting Gebler should begin at no higher than Sergeant in rank. If this seems low, then keep in mind that the highest rank of some of the oldest (OOCly) and active players is around that of Major. Keep in mind that, the higher your rank, the higher your responsibility to Gebler.

Former/Rogue Officers:
Elhayym Van Houten, Lieutenant, former Fire Element (withdrawn from training)
Sirus, Lieutenant Commander
Ryukumu Isora, Corporal, Division: Cobalt Wing
Talon, Test Subject
Khiea Dalant, "Daughter of Krelian" and Test Subject

Comments:
Sirus is within Solaris again, but seems to be protected as per Krelian's decree.
Ryukumu Isora's current status is unknown. It is rumored, however, that Dr. Saul has a personal stake in the boy, and Luka has officially asked her troops to remain uninvolved.
Talon has attacked Solaris in the past, and has even had a decree for his death/imprisonment temporarily passed by Emperor Cain. However, Talon recently enjoys a bit of immunity granted to him by Krelian (however favorable that is). Luka has also asked for Talon to be given no problems, and the Ministry show no opinion yet one way or the other.
Khiea Dalant is... um... special. No one, not even her, seems quite certain of if they are allowed to (or even should) shoot her on sight or not. It is unknown if she is restricted from Solaris, but it is unlikely.
