The Nisan Murders
When a body of a soldier appeared in the gardens of Nisan, it caused a bit of concern. By the time that the investigation to the Murders was officially closed, the death toll had risen to only three, but three was high enough for the City of Peace.
The murderess was assumed to have been the body of the woman found on the outskirts of Nisan. But was that truly what had happened? Without further explanation, the books were closed...
When the dust settled, there was a vacancy for a new Etone by Stone's side. The Ethos parted peacefully, a Fatima ghost had stalked a lot of people, the Gebler Commander's conversational Lamb had been whisked away to Solaris, and several people had had interesting mental breakdowns, or parts of them. And Ramsus's clothes had been stolen. No, wait, that comes later.
Was it a pointless TP? Or had it only set the stage?
As a note, these logs were demanded in large amounts from various RPers, and so are old, contain large amount of minor conversations, etc, etc. They have been edited for spoilers for some people, but we may not have picked up all of them. If you are in one of these logs and want a part (or the entire thing) removed, simply ask Dominia or Kelvena. It's that simple. (^_^)
Logs:
The Unresolved Killer:
This Short Time of Silence.: With the start of the Nisan Murders, Elly appears to visit the City, with Fei. The two of them talk for a while as the sun sets, and Margie appears with Sigurd shortly behind. ((3/?/00))
Feed the Ducks?: After Margie accepts the offer to have Bishop Stone's elite cadre of Etones guard her, five men flock to Nisan to take up watch. Brother Robin, the youngest and most inexperienced of them, speaks with Sasha on the nature of the Ethos before encountering Maverick and feeding the ducks with Emeralda. (3/25/00))
A Rose is Just as Beautiful.: Meanwhile, back at the Ethos, an unhappy relative of Margie comes to make his displeasure known to the Bishop. ((3/25/00))
Those Seen and Those Not: Well aware that having five Etones in full robes will only cause the culprit to be more cautious, Bishop Stone takes up a request by an Ethos Workshop technician, named Zaak, to be reassigned elsewhere. ((4/18/00))
The streets seem busy these days...: Margie, Kinshi, Sigurd, Miriam, Kyle, Zaak, and Sasha all congregate in Nisan's streets to pass the time in thoughts about the murder. Jonah, Nailrek, and Roni later pass on through. ((4/19/00))
Busy, busy Nisan roads.: Kyle, Miriam, Sasha, Zaak, Margie and Kenshi continue to make their various ways around Nisan. Kyle and Miriam search for clues, which Kinshi guards Margie as the Mother walks around her City. Zaak demonstrates his skills at subtlety, and Jonah and Nailrek appear to watch. Roni also makes an entrance. ((4/19/00))
I Can See You.: Bishop Stone makes it to the Nisan Cathedral at last! There, he speaks with Margie briefly before Miriam and Kyle appear. Miriam and Stone have a bit of a conversation from their prior encounter, Sasha becomes involved, and... is it true? Can Bishop Stone really be interested in /helping/ the investigation? Well, either way, Roni's appearance is noted by the purported 'holy man'. ((4/20/00))
The Real Question Is...: Kyle takes along a technician this time through Nisan, named Selu. The two run into Sasha, and more revelations are discussed--such as the possible identity of the killer. And a few strange points in the investigation that might shed some light on it all... ((4/21/00))
That's a very pretty smile, Erine...: Kyle and Miriam meet Erine in Nisan, and Daos appears just before the log crashes. ((4/23/00))
The City of... Peace? In a sort of preview to the next long on the list, the encounter between Maverick and Talon is explained in greater depth. Daos appears, and so does Kyle, and then the log transforms itself into the second half. ((4/26/00))
You Have to Take the Weight of Your Sins on Yourself. Just outside the Cathedral, Miriam walks in on a little scuffle between Talon and Kyle. Daos is also there, and doesn't quite seem to be doing too well. (O_o) Afterwards, Miriam talks with Daos inside the Cathedral. ((4/26/00))
Is this also an accidental death?: Brother Jordan and Sasha talk while Daos shows up. The second Murder victim is discovered--to be none other than one of the elite Etones themselves. Margie finds out about this one while Nailrek, Talon, and Kyle attend. ((4/28/00))
You Mentioned a Visitor?: With the murder of the Etone Jonathon, Bishop Stone is required to return to his own church and take a direct interest in affairs in Nisan. Once more at the Cathedral, Stone recieves a visitor. This time, it is a man named Tanin, who speaks of a possible pilgrim to come. ((4/29?/00))
Need a band-aid, anyone?: Zaak, Billy, Margie, Samaeul, and Emeralda all discuss the murder and various aspects of it in another mass-force scene. Sigurd appears at the last, and a wounded Billy collapses all over Nisan after returning from imprisonment. ((5/5/00))
So They Are Still Dedicated...: News of the Murders reaches even Dazil; far away in the desert town, Fei and Emeralda meet in the nanocolony's quest to bring Fei to help the Nisan citizens. Sage also visits, while Jonah, recently deemed a heretic by the Ethos, passes on a message for Billy. And... hey, Jonah... shouldn't you already know the answers to these questions, if you've been in Nisan all this time? Also, Roni appears, to play with Emeralda and find something fun to do. ((5/9/00))
Apple, anyone?: Fei and Miriam meet on the streets of Nisan. Talon shows up for a short time to glare at Fei before his connection is lost, Miriam continues to nibble on apples, Fen frolics through, and Kyle eventually appears. ((5/10/00))
I Remember a Man...: In what is starting to become a habit, Ramsus and Miriam meet again in the Nisan Cathedral. In a continuation of that habit, Miriam argues with Ramsus about Solaris and morality, informing him of the status of the City of Peace. Conversation moves onto God, creation, and destruction. ((5/10/00))
So Who Knows How to Swim?: Senchei takes Lia out to go admire the dead Etone in Nisan before interrupting a tolling of the Cathedral bells, hosted by Geraff. Ryan_Jackson, Emeralda, and Fen are there as well, and Sigurd and Ramsus have a 'discussion' over swimming later on after Senchei decides that Lia should be tossed into the lake. ((5/14/00))
Please pardon the roses.: The Executioner and Grahf present a twist on the Ethos-Nisan connections when they appear to Stone, and order their own agenda to be applied. Stone promptly sells out Miriam to direct attention away from him, and also explains his reasons for the temporary alliance. (Spoiler Warnings for Miriam, the Ethos, and the Murder.) ((5/15/00))
Not a Thing Built and Discarded Anymore: With the third murder, the already frightened City becomes even more distraught. Miriam, having no other place to take for her shelter but a rapidly dangerous Nisan, speaks yet again in the Cathedral with Ramsus. Palika, Jaina, and Sasha appear. While Palika and Jaina talk in the Cathedral, Sasha, Ramsus, and Miriam go to investigate the newest body. Sasha leaves, Erine stops by to smile at the corpse, and Ramsus finally takes Miriam under his protection to the sky. (Ramsus and Miriam spoilers.) ((5?/27/00))
