Dazil, Southern Gate Here, at the most western end of Dazil, stands the gate which leads back out south to the southern end of the Desert, towards the great capital of Aveh, Bledavik. Here stands the workshop, one of the greatest reasons for Dazil's success, as well as the Dazil , the main source of water for the entire town. To the stands the rest of town, and to the stands the huge, shining white gate, which leads to the southern deserts of the Aveh kingdom. Contents: Alliah's Sandbuggy (vehicle) Duvel (Gear) Arkangel (Gear) Garaza (Gear)(#269VXZ) Jarian's Hovel Tomias has arrived. Tomias walks out from the general area of the Ethos workshop, wiping his brow with an old, sweatstained handkercheif... Kadrina is currently.. well, pacing, before the Gear Garaza. Her usually calmly serene face is held in a quiet worry and a terrible pondering as she walks, attempting to reason out just what has happened, what may happen, and what she can possibly do.. She hardly even realizes another is there. Tomias frowns when he sees the expression on the face of his younger comrade. "Kadrina... What's wrong?" Kadrina snaps out of her fretting swiftly, shifting her gaze swiftly to Tomias as she forces a rather weak, but swiftly dieing pale smile, "Oh.. Tomias.. I hadn't heard of your arrival here.." She offers, simply, politely, although such a desperate attempt to maintain such commonplace mannerisms is failing fast. Instead, she allows a tone of worry to shadow her face as she answers his question, "Something... something most terrible and quite strange occured here last night..." Tomias frowns... "What ever it was, young one, it obviously has you very distraught... Do you want to talk about it? Kadrina nods slowly, "If it is not a bother to you to listen, that is..." She trails off lightly, granting a pale little sigh before she continues, explaining the situation in words so swift and rapid that its quite hard to even catch what she's saying, despite how little sense her words themselves mean, "I haven't a clue what happened.. Why it happened... I only know what I saw. For.. for some reason, two people in Gears came down and.. Took everyone who was here.. Absolutely everyone, and claimed they were to take them elsewhere for who knows what..." She sighs softly, her voice a shade quieter, "I don't.. know what to do." Tomias nods... "But there's more to the story, isn't there?" Kadrina takes a deep breath, clasping her hands together weakly for little more reason other than to wring them lightly as she continues her soft fretting, despite how calm she forces her voice to be, "I.. I'm not sure. That's simply it. A man and a woman, held in Gebler-style outfits, came down and took Jarian... E-everyone captive..." She frowns lightly, turning her gaze to the sand below, "I only evaded their notice through hiding in Jarian's Gear..." Tomias frowns and moves over to sit beside you. "Kadrina, for everything that happens in the world, God has a purpose. you know that... And he must have had a purpose in doing this as well... Kadrina nods slowly, lightly in responce, although within this is nowhere near a good enough excuse as to why any of this happened, "Still... Is it not an Etone's duty to protect? And yet there was.. and is nothing I can do or hope to do." She pauses a moment, before adding, her voice growing softer, weaker, as she continues on, unwilling to allow the worry to rise once again in her words, "Those were not good people.. I could tell. And they have only ill intentions. So... Even if such is the way it should be.. Is.. Is it wrong for me to believe that I should of.. And should do something?" Tomias nods... "You obviously would not have been able to do anything, though... From what you said, they came in Gears... You had no prayer of stopping a gear with your gun, Kadrina... To try and fight would have been nothing more than foolish... Kadrina nods slowly, "Of course... But... Hiding in the cockpit of a Gear, of all things.." She shakes her head softly, "It rather makes me regret that I never had an intrest or lesson in the ways of Gear piloting..." She trails off lightly, that being a past hope, a chance long gone, no matter how terrible a result it had granted her, "What can I do, however? I'm certain that somehow.. I must be able to do more good than simply sitting here in musing." Tomias shakes his head... "Kadrina, you know that I offered many times to teach you to pilot a gear... The offer still stands..." He sighs and looks at you. "But there's something that you're hiding... Kadrina 's eyes widen brilliantly at this, although her emotions are mixed.. Could she.. Could she possible be able to, "Hiding something, Tomias? I.. I would certainly never do such a thing..." However, she leaps from this subject to the next, a flicker of a softly excited hope within her eyes, "However.. Please.. Please, would you, could you perhaps, teach me how to pilot a Gear? I know that before I was reluctant to learn such a thing, but... Now.... Now I believe.. It would prove invaluable to me if I were to know..." Though generally her words are held calm, passive, she only barely manages to hide the small plea in her tone. Tomias smiles and nods... "Of course, young one... When we return to Aquvy... Kadrina frowns... a bit softly at this, although it is a swiftly passing expression, and one she allows to fade quite swiftly, in fears of seeming ungrateful, "If... If that is best... But, if it is not to harsh for me to ask, I was sent here on uncertain orders.. Would you happen to know, perhaps, when that shall be?" Tomias nods... "We leave on the next ship... That's why I have come... I am to bring you home... Kadrina 's eyes widen brilliantly, as an honestly relieved smile dawns upon her face, "Really? Is that so? Oh, how I've missed Aquavy so!" Such a small burst of joy, however, is swiftly dulled upon the very thought that.. She wasn't.. supposed to go home alone. She manages to maintain a polite little smile all the while, however, as she nods, "Well.. thank you... Truly, honestly, thank you. To return home.. To learn Gear piloting.." She trails off lightly, her final note so much softer that it is nearly hard to understand her words, "...Now, all that is left is to find a way to help..." Tomias smiles... "Well, perhaps I can... Kadrina blinks a bit, broken from her quiet trains of thought, as she glances up at him lightly, a faintly questoining look upon her face. Tomias smiles back... "I'll help you Kadrina... But somehow, I'm sure that there's more to this than you're telling me... perhaps more than you, yourself know... Kadrina blinks a bit, a small pale smile upon her face, "I.. I don't know, Tomias. I believe I've told you all there is to say, all that is left." She forces a brighter smile, noting quietly, "But what does it matter now? There are things.. other things for me to attend to... But honestly.. Thank you." Tomias smiles, and stands... "Then we had beter go and pack... Kadrina nods slowly, glancing over to and preparing to approach the Ethos Workshop, "Of course... That certainly wont take me long.." Tomias smiles... "And what else should we take?" He glances up at Garaza... Kadrina glances up at Garanza, a small frown crossing her face, "Do you think.. Perhaps we could bring that?" Her gaze holds upon Garaza, "I know... Its a.. bizzare request, but..." But what? She's not even sure she can finish the sentence herself. But with Jarian being.. who knows where, it only seems right..... Tomias nods... "It's an unusual model... I'm sure that we can manage it... Kadrina manages something of a grin at this, "Well, that's wonderful..! Thank you so much, Tamias!" And with this, it seems she's ready to dash off and collect her things.. Whatever her hurry is, only she can say, but the sooner she is home and in a Gear.... Tomias smiles, and looks around. "We'll need to arrange a sand transport as far as Bledavik Kadrina nods lightly, "Of course, but... I really wouldn't know much about the organization of such things..." Tomias shakes his head... "Do not worry, young one... I'll handle that... Kadrina grins brightly, nodding lightly in responce, "A-all right then... Thank you ever so much! Is there anything else you wish to speak of, perhaps?" Tomias shakes his head... "No... Not unless you want to tell me... Kadrina nods lightly, "Well.. There's really nothing else to say, really, spare of what I've already told you of the most.. strange abductions of last night. Shall I be off to gather my things, then? It would be most inconvienient to miss the boat to Aquavy..." Tomias smiles, nodding. "Yes... The ship departs from the port outside Bledavik in two days... Kadrina nods lightly, "Well, that's nice to know, then. Thank you. I'll most certainly be ready by then." Tomias nods... "It'll take a day at least to get there by sandship... Kadrina nods faintly, "So, be ready by later today, early tommorow, or something of that, in short?" Tomias nods... "I can make the arrangements, and we can be off this evening.
