Bledavik, Main Gate You stand at the gates of a massive and busy city, composed of dozens of stacked, spiraled buildings between thin, dusty, sanded stairways. The people of this city seem to literally swarm about the marketplace, the sound of business and talk even drifting to the gates at which you stand. From here you can go to the most southern edge of the Market Road. To the lies a vast and cruel desert, deprived of life and scorched in heat. Contents: Jarian Ira Garaza (Gear) Ira makes a little bow to the new stranger. Jarian hears someone, and smiles shyly when he sees Kadrina. "Um... Hello Kadrina.." Ira says, "Hello." Kadrina walks down Bledavik's southern road, casting a bright smile to Jarian, "Hey there!" She walks up to him, shaking her head lightly, "Tsk... Leaving me all alone to get out of that town alone! Really!" She then chuckles softly under her breath, turning to Ira with a nod, "Ah, hello there. And you are?" Ira gives a little curtsy. "Miram, Lady." Jarian bows his head. "I'm sorry. I was going to be back as soon as I could, but I just wanted to check on Garaza... Jarian turns to the little girl. "I'm Jarian. Kadrina shrugs lightly, her smile never dimming all the while, "Not a problem at all, really." She glances back to Ira, "Pleasure to meet you then. I'm Kadrina!" Ira says, "Nice to meet you two." Jarian smiles. "It's nice to meet you too... Jarian sighs... "It's hot out here. Why don't we go find somewhere cooler to sit and talk? Ira nods. "Where shall we go?" Jarian shrugs. "I don't really know. I'm from Dazil, after all... Kadrina shifts her weight lightly with a sigh, "Well, don' look at me, I'm not even from this kingdom... Looks like you're the only one with a clue of where we could go, lil' one!" She smiles lightly at Ira. Ira considers the choices... Ira says, "Well, there's an eating place with fish to look at.." Jarian smiles. "That sounds nice... Kadrina nods faintly, "Indeed, it certainly does!" Ira nods, and walks off with an air of 'follow me.' Ira enters the town of Bledavik, Capital of Aveh. Ira has left. Jarian enters the town of Bledavik, Capital of Aveh. Jarian has left. ... Bledavik, Tavern: Upstairs This is a moderately nice looking dining area, although the floor and tables are colored a sort of oddly pale, shimmering sea-green. A handful of people sit at tables, enjoying their quiet meals, chatting softly in this small area, quite in contrast to the Tavern below. A huge aquarium of multicolored fish stands on one side of the room, adding a pleasant touch of color and life to the area. A small leads downwards to the bar, while a small carved out of the southern wall like a door leads to the outside dining area. Contents: Ira Jarian walks up a small flight of stairs. Jarian has arrived. Ira says, "This is the destination." Jarian looks at the aquarium, amazed... "I'vbe never seen anything like this... Kadrina glances about the room slowly, nodding lightly in agreement with Jarian, "Its... rather lovely, isn't it?" Ira simply nods. Jarian nods, his eyes still transfixed by the amazing thing... Kadrina walks slowly over to the fish tank, watching the fish flick about lightly, absolutly silent. Ira sits at a table, and watches the two adults stare at the fish. Jarian says, "It's beutiful..." Ira feels as if she shouldn't say anything... and so does nothing. Kadrina smiles lightly, watching the fish a moment longer before she backs away a step with a sigh, "It... it kind of reminds me of home." She smiles lightly, shaking her head gently, as she goes to sit by the young child. Ira says, "You have fish there too?" Jarian turns and goes to the table, a gentle smile given to the pretty Etone. Kadrina nods lightly to Ira, smiling faintly, "Oh, where I live there's lots of fish... I suppose its such a side effect of living so near to the ocean as I do." Jarian nods... "I'm from Dazil, so of course, I'd never seen anything like it in my life... Ira nods thoughtfully. Jarian sits down and smiles. "So, what would everyone like to eat? Kadrina shrugs lightly, "Oh, I don't know..." Ira mirrors Miss Kadrina's action. Jarian frowns and looks at the menu... Ira looks at the side of the menu labled 'beverages.' Jarian holds the menu over to Kadrina, and looks at her... "What does this say? Kadrina blinks lightly, glancing at the menu lightly, "Well, why ask me? I mean, can't you..." She trails off lightly, catching herself lightly, eyes widening softly. A moment later she grants a small, pale smile and glances over it lightly, "Its just a list of what they're servering... You see, you can have this.." She trails on a moment, explaining this and that on the list. Jarian nods, and follows along, his head slightly bowed in his shame... Ira looks curiously from one to another, then looks at the tabletop. Jarian whispers, "I... I'm sorry... I didn't want you to know..." to you. You whisper, ".....Oh... oh, please, don't worry. Its all right, really..." to Jarian. Jarian whispers, "No it's not... How can someone who can't read expect to do anything in this world..." to you. You whisper, "Oh, come now, what type of attitude is that? There's always time and hope to learn, and if nothing else, there's still hope..." to Jarian. Jarian whispers, "But who would want to even take the time to teach me?" to you. You whisper, "Well, if you don't mind that much, I suppose I could give it a try.." to Jarian. Ira waits until Kadrina has listed all the food being served from the menu. Jarian whispers, "I.. I'd like that..." to you. You whisper, "Then.. I'll try!" to Jarian. Jarian nods suddenly when Kadri reads one of the items. "That sounds good... Kadrina nods faintly, her smile held somewhat forcefully upon her face, "All right." Jarian whispers, "Is something wrong?" to you. You whisper, "No.. no, not at all!" to Jarian. Jarian whispers, "Jarian nods..." to you. Ira looks curiously at Kadrina. "Who will pay?" Jarian looks in his pouch. "I have some gold left... You say, "Its all right, Jarian." She pulls out her pouch lighlty, smiling faintly as she shifts its contents idly, "The Ethos gave me enough to live off of here for quite a while... If you don't mind, I can cover the cost..." Jarian nods. "Are you sure? Ira nods also. "I can pay for my own drink.." Kadrina nods lightly, "Of course I'm sure! I've more than enough, and I'm sure you've other things to save your gold for...." Jarian nods... Ira shrugs indifferently. Jarian looks at Kadrina... "What are you going to have?" Kadrina shrugs lightly, grinning softly, "I haven't a clue, really!" Jarian nods, blushing slightly again. A waiter comes up to the table. "Are you folks ready to order? Or would you like a ferw more minutes? Ira looks at the adults. "I'm ready," she says. Jarian nods. "Kadrina? Kadrina shrugs lightly, shaking her head ever so faintly, "Really, I'm fine. I'm actually not that hungry." Jarian nods... "I'll have the braised shellfish. Ira orders "a ariberry cider. Small." Ira looks at Mis Kadrina. "Why don't you have something to drink?" You say, "To drink? Hm?" She pauses a moment, shrugging gently, "I suppose a glass of water would be nice, of course..." Jarian nods, and smiles at Kadrina, then turns to Ira. "So, hon, how long have you lived in Bledavik? Ira promptly answers with, "All my life." Jarian nods. "So what do your parents do? Ira says, "...my father was drafted in the Aveh military. My mom helps me run the shop." Jarian nods... "Which shop? Ira says, "The weapons shop." Jarian nods... You say, "You help run a weapons shop?" She states quietly, in soft wonder, "Oh, but you're so young..! How impressive... Your mother must be very proud." Ira looks at Kadrina. "Thank you lady," she murmmurs. Ira says, "It's not that difficult now, since there are less customers." Jarian nods. Kadrina nods lightly, "I can imagine so. This war must be really hurting this poor Kingdom..." The waiter returns with the drinks, and sets them down before the three. Ira thanks the waiter. Jarian nods at the waiter. "Thank you very much." Kadrina grins lightly, nodding faintly at the waiter as she takes her drink. Ira sips her cider. Jarian sighs, and looks over at the aquarium, then leans over and whispers something to Kadrina Jarian whispers, "You know what the aquarium reminds me of?" to you. You whisper, "What?" to Jarian. Jarian whispers, "It reminds me of you, it's so lovely..." to you. Kadrina blushes softly at Jarian's quiet little comment, simply shaking her head lightly in responce, a little grin upon her face.
