((Logged 1/8/00 by Kadrina)) Dazil, Southern Gate Here, at the most western end of Dazil, stands the gate which leads back out south to the southern end of the Desert, towards the great capital of Aveh, Bledavik. Here stands the workshop, one of the greatest reasons for Dazil's success, as well as the Dazil , the main source of water for the entire town. To the stands the rest of town, and to the stands the huge, shining white gate, which leads to the southern deserts of the Aveh kingdom. Contents: Jarian Kawatta Verich (Gear)(#1727CJVXZ) Garaza (Gear) Jarian's Hovel Jarian is sitting down against Garaza's foot... Kawatta walks on over.. Kadrina slowly exits the Ethos Headquarters, a pale, faint smile upon her face as she glances over the area... As painfully hot and dry as this place is, slowly she's strangely growing accustomed to it... Although she could be no happier than to return to Aquavy. As she catches sight of Jarian, her smile widens softly in recognition, "Oh, hello, Jarian..." Jarian looks up and smiles himself. "Um... hello, Kadrina... Kawatta stops for a moment, shrugs and leans agaisnt a wall Kadrina smiles softly, walking over to where he sits, away from her previous placement of standing safely within the doorway of the Ethos, under whatever shade it could possibly grant her, "And how are you today, Jarian?" Jarian smiles... "I'm doing quite well... I... I was just trying to read the book you gave me... I still don't know most of the words though... Kadrina nods lightly, "Well, that's quite all right... That's why I'm here to help, isn't it?" Suddenly a passing thought drifts by her mind, and she gasps softly, noting lightly, a bit worried, "I... I didn't choose something too hard, did I? Oh, I'd hate to think I'm doing more ill than good.. I'm certainly no teacher, and I'm sure I'm messing this up oh so very much..." Jarian shakes his head. "No, you didn't... It's just that I have to start somewhere..." He smiles up at her for a moment, then turns away, blushing slightly... You say, "Well, that's good.." She muses lightly, a bit more calmly, "I'd hate to be going about this all wrong... But I can only do the best I can manage, I suppose." She casts a small grin, "As long as it's helping you, I suppose I shouldn't worry that much." She then moves on, casting a glance up to the Gear behind him, asking quietly, "So.. What are you up to, Jarian?"" Jarian shakes his head. "Not very much... Just sitting here thinking..." He looks down for a moment... You say, "Really?" She continues on, her gaze still set upon the Gear, as she continues on, casually so, her voice only touched in a simple shade of polite kindness, "About what?" Jarian shakes his head... "Just... things..." He blushes even more, and looks down again... Kadrina nods lightly, remaining absolutely silent for the longest of whiles. Finally, she notes, rather quietly, seemingly out of the blue, her voice a bit less joyous, "I... I'll probably be sent back home to Aquavy soon...." Jarian looks up, and you see a range of emotions on his face... Shock, sadness, fear... "You will?" His voice is quiet, as if this news is very disturbing to him... Kawatta is still agaisnt the wall.. Kadrina nods slowly, weakly, glancing away lightly, "O-of course... I was only sent here on temporary work... And soon that work will be done, and then...." She trails off lightly, helplessly, her voice growing softer with every word. Jarian bows his head... "So, I... I guess we won't be seeing each other any more... You say, "I... I..." She trails off lightly, then gasps, her eyes widening, as she laughs softly underneath her breath. She glances back over to Jarian, grinning faintly, "Well... well, if you still wish to leave this place... My offer still stands for you to come with me..."" Jarian looks up, and his face lights up. "It still does?! Yes!" Kadrina laughs softly, happilly, "Oh, of course it does! Just as long as you don't mind leaving this.. This town, your homeland... It effects you far more than it could ever, ever effect me..." Jarian shakes his head. "I'd go anywhere to..." He trails off, obviously afraid to say what he was going to... Kawatta looks over and wishes the guy would just come out and say it Kadrina smiles softly, "But Aquavy is so very different... With rain, and oceans all over... And it gets so very cool... And besides, isn't this your life, your occupation? I would think this would be a bit more nervewracking of a decision than you're making it out to be..." Jarian shakes his head... "I've always wanted to see the world... And Aquvy sounds so lovely... Besides, doesn't the ethos need experienced diggers?" Kadrina nods a bit, her smile only growing brighter, "Well, I'm sure they do... Oh, perhaps I'm only worrying a bit much... But as long as you're happy and content with your decision..." Jarian nods... "I am..." He trails off, obviously wanting to say something, but afraid to... The BladeGash Gear has arrived. Chaos (Gear) has arrived. Kadrina nods a bit, "Well then, I..." She cuts herself off, her smile fading swiftly as the Gears soar overhead, "..What the...?" Alliah's Sandbuggy (vehicle) has arrived. Alliah has arrived. Alliah blinks and stares up at the large machines. Jarian looks up... "What the devil? The BladeGash Gear swiftly soars across the skies above, although its speed drops, slows, as it nears the southern edge of this tiny little town of Dazil. With a faint cacophony, it lands, away of the others, and remains there, unmoving for a moment, completely still. Chaos (Gear) soars in over the crowd of people and halts mid-air. The engines dim as the gear makes a slow decent and touches down near BladeGash, in a cloud of concealing desert smoke. Alliah holds her arm up against the dust. Alliah says, "Jarian... who the HELL are they???" Jarian shakes his head. "I don't know..." He turns to Kadrina, and looks at her. "Hurry. Get into Garaza! Kawatta is allready on his way to Verich Kadrina stares a moment longer at theses Gears, muttering simply, "What lovely Gears..." Before she blinks, glancing over at Jarian. She nods simply, once, and swiftly darts into the Gear. Dominia has arrived. Alliah sighs deeply, as if this was another inconvenient moment that will ruin her day. Karagin has arrived. Alliah says, "however, is wary of the newcomers that came out of the gears." Alliah ,however, is wary of the newcomers that came out of the gears. After a long moment, the Bladegash opens, a single woman exiting the Gear in a single, fluid leap. As she lands upon the ground, on uneasy, burning sand, she simply turns her gaze to the small grouping before her, a hand clasped simply, tightly about a sword which she holds at her side. Alliah decides it's a good time to leave when she realises that the newcomers arrive with their weapons on their hands. Alliah has left. Chaos opens as Dominia appears and A man hopes out, cape fluttering behind him. He lands on the ground in a crouch, without making a sound. He rises slowly and peers around with evil eyes. Alliah's Sandbuggy (vehicle) spins its tires as it begins to depart, hoping to escape the armed warriors. Dominia simply glances over the group, sighing softly as she does. She shakes her head lightly, watching the sandbuggy attempt to depart, as she states, rather softly, "Karagin, deal with that one.." With that, she simply glances over to the rest of the masses, her expressions held in the touches of one unamused, perhaps even bored, "I would suggest that none of you make even the slightest move." Jarian moves over, as though to follow Kadrina into Garaza, protecting her, almost... Kawatta is at the feet of Verich...he knows this is just NOT good, he hates fossile duty Karagin shifts his head towards Dominia and nods with a smirk, he turns back towards his gear and jumps back in. Karagin has left. Alliah's Sandbuggy (vehicle) spins into action, the tractor-like vehicle slowly gaining acceleration. Chaos (Gear) hums slightly and it's engines flare. He lurches off th ground at the departing Sandbuggy, easily catching up to it. Kawatta eyes narrow... Alliah's Sandbuggy (vehicle) stops suddenly, using its traction to get a grip on the sand and spin around in a full one-eighty degree turn, heading for the desert. Dominia raises an eyebrow faintly as Jarian makes his way before his Gear, although she apparently has no other responce. She frowns lightly, her voice absolute, chill, as she continues to speak, "Whether you care to or not, you -Lambs- are to come with us. Any hostility, resistance shall not be tolerated in the least." She sighs, casting a faint, unamused glance at the Buggy desperatly attempting to escape, "In.. a way, the lot of you are needed elsewhere." Jarian ignores the warning and continues to climb up the leg of his gear... Chaos (Gear) over shoots the Buggy and does a loop mid-air, heading in the right direction. Alliah's Sandbuggy (vehicle) skids to a stop. Chaos (Gear) notices the change in the Sandbuggy this time and buzzes over it slightly. He stops forcefully and lands in the way of the buggy. Jarian reaches the cockpit, and starts to open it... Alliah's Sandbuggy (vehicle) 's door opens. Alliah has arrived. Karagin has arrived. Alliah curses and shouts, "Okay, what the HELL is the meaning of this? Why can't I just GO HOME???" Karagin laughs rather loudly as the cockpit of his gear opens. He sits there with a smart look on his face and waves to the buggy, not giving it a verbal response. Alliah mutters under her breath, approaching her sandbuggy again. Karagin shouts merrily at Alliah, "I wouldn't do that -Lamb-... This time I have a clear shot at you." Alliah kicks at the sand, and paces around impatiently. As she paces, she gets closer and closer to the Dazil gate. Kawatta has disconnected. Alliah says, "Would you REALLY shoot me? I mean... shoot me?" Karagin shrugs nonchalantly and smiles evilly at Alliah, his eyes cold. Dominia frowns softly at Jarian, rather annoyed that her simple ultimatums are proving completely useless.. As if they ever were anything more. Simply, she states, "Karagin... Do something about the one entering his Gear... It would be a pity to have to destroy these Lambs instead of fulfilling orders." Instead she takes a few steps in Alliah's direction, granting the faintest of pale smirks, noting her faint edging towards the gate, "Now, now... Going somewhere?" Alliah paces more. "So... are you going to like, abduct me? Make me a slave or something...?" she asks weakly, more to herself than to the actual soldier. Alliah stops in her tracks at Dominia's voice. "Umm, I guess not..." She starts to pace more in a circle instead of wadering toward the gates. Karagin murmers a yes as he cockpit closes and his gear charges up again. Karagin has left. Jarian is looking behind him franticly as he waits for Garaza's cockpit to completely open, something which is taking forever, as the hatch seems stuck... Dominia sighs softly, shifting the weight of the sword she holds, more in a sake of highlight than anything else, "Exactly." She then pauses a moment, her voice utterly apathetic, and somewhat... uncharacteristically calm, "A slave? If you prove no more useful, perhaps. But perhaps.. 'needed for testing' is more appropriate... Nonetheless, those issues are irrelevant for you to know of. You'll certainly know in time, however." Chaos (Gear) pivets and walks towards Garaza, making the mechanically moving sound as he does. It's eyes catch the sunlight and the heat, making them seem even redder. Alliah rolls her eyes, and starts to pace in circles again, but begins to wander toward the Dazil gate inch by inch, hoping Dominia will not notice. Jarian tries to push at Garaza's hatch, fighting with it unsuccessfully... Chaos (Gear) continues to move towards Garaza and stops a little ways from it. It's palms turn up and it's arms extent at full length. The Headband begins to glow as it charges it's ether power. Dominia frowns softly, a flicker of quite honest annoyance catching in her pale eyes. Within a flash, she dashes towards Alliah, drawing her sword, close at hand, to her neck, with hopes that Alliah wouldn't catch such an action in time. Then, with a pause, she notes, quietly, "Hmph... Foolish orders...." And with that, simply gestures off towards the others, twoards the Gears, "If you intend to live much longer, I do suggest you don't try your luck so.." Jarian looks over atChaos, and sees the energy coursing through the gear... Slowly, he stops fighting with Garaza's hatch, and hits the close switch on it, then climbs down... Alliah hears the scurry of Dominia's feet upon sand and as he places the sword next to her neck, she instinctively steps away, but ceases as she realises what is being pointed at her. Alliah asks, her voice trembling, "Foolish orders? I mean, if they're so... you can... let me go home..." Chaos (Gear) stops the energy flow and drops it's arms, sending small bits of fire around it. A man's voice can be heard from inside, yelling. The hatch opens and Karagin appears. Karagin has arrived. Jarian can't help but look up at Garaza with a worried glance... Dominia casts Alliah a pale, smile, seeming.. ever so wrong upon the Element's face in this situation, "My orders were to gather a set of -Lambs-.. Not to kill them. And that is quite inconvienient." She leaves it at that, smiling lightly, "You'll have better chances if you simply come along without any of these foolish attempts at escape, I assure you." Alliah says, "I mean... you got the wrong people here... you can get lambs in Lahan's barnyards or in Bledavik... Dazil doesn't have any lambs..." Dominia laughs softly underneath her breath, rather in spite of herself, "Quaint." She simply notes, gesturing once more towards the Gears, "Move." Jarian bows his head... "I don't think that she means that kind of lamb, Alliah,,, Jarian goes... Karagin agrees with Dominia and turns to Jarain with the smart look still on his face. His voice rings out, carring a conceeded sound, "Be nice and you'll live." Alliah walks toward the gear. "Well, I'm sorry if I don't know the lingo, Jarian," she says, unafraid to speak to her fellow captive. Jarian sighs... Alliah falls into step beside Jarian. Alliah gives Jarian a dark look as she is shoved toward the gears. Dominia makes her way towards the Bladegash slowly, casting a glance to Jarian and Karagin to make sure that there are no problems or quarrels with them. Then, with a shrug, she continues towards her Gear, Lamb at swordpoint, "How.. amazingly simple this was.." She muses quietly. Dominia has left. Alliah has left. Jarian has left. Karagin has left. The BladeGash Gear flies up toward the sky!. The BladeGash Gear has left. Chaos (Gear) flies up toward the sky!. Chaos (Gear) has left.
