((Logged 1/13/01) Lithia frowns lightly, not sure if that's something to look up to or be disgusted by. As of this point, she's not sure of her own thoughts towards it. A week ago, she likly would've tried to better them, but now...she's not so sure killing is a good enough answer for just anyone... Makkani comes striding into the tavern, a rather carefree look on his face. He grins as he sees Lithia. "Hey the-" He suddenly recalls that he left a corpse in the bar while she was away. "T... the corpse wasn't me?" He tries sheepishly. It's wormhole wishin' time. The desert winds blow into Dazil as Jalon walks into town and turns into the Lucky Avenue Bar. He noted that that was probably the 6th time it had done that. The wind seemed to follow his back for some unknown reason. Walking through the doorway and towards the bar, Jalon sees Kale sitting on a stool, talking with the barkeep. Stepping over to him casually, as friends often do, Jalon sits down beside Kale and greets him with a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, Kale. How's life?", he says, oblivious to Kale's dark mood. Duran walks in, a bit weary from town-guarding. "Barkeep!" he motions to Lithia. "Best can of pick...er, I mean water in the tavern, please," he calls loudly. In his hand he clutches his beloved "Chi Within" book. "Hey Kale, and guy who...killed...that...man..." he finishes weakly. Kale looks up. Priceless. Just priceless. His rebel buddy just happens to walk in at the same time as a Kislevi Field Commander and Gebler private. "Hello." Kale sits back, waiting to see what happens next. Lithia snarls to herself, glancing up. "Alright, whoever called me barkeep can keep in mind that if you call me that again, I'm going to pyhiscally harm you." apparently, she doesn't like being reminded of her...bottom of the chain position in gebler. ^_^;; Makkani 's eyes get a bit wide. "Man, you got high strung quick. A little havoc and you flip. You need more ability to withstand stress and embarrasment. Like this one time, I had to infiltrate Bledavik by posing as a fast food clerk. Humiliating, yes, but... er..." Makkani's eyes dart around as he sees the two Gebler. "I was... uh... employee of the month for market niche infiltration! Who'd of though there was such a demand for frozen meat on sticks. Heh eh..." Jalon looks off to the side at Makkani, recognizing him immediately. He had been the one he had met on the way to Nisan when looking for Dakota that had asked him how he could leave the area around Nisan. Jalon had, in turn, asked him about Dakota and noticed the man knew exactly who he was talking about, but gave not much information. He marked that down in his head. He looks in his cloak and finds the red turtle the man had given him for Deusmas, and then looks back up at the Gebler private and the strange man. Duran ignores the BARKEEP and pulls out an arrest warrant. "You're under arrest for attempted assault and murder of a Gebler officer, second degree murder of a civilian, infiltration of civilian areas, and espionage." He points to his rifle. "I'm not afraid to use that. Now, you're coming with me." Kale sighs, and reaches behind him, pulling out...a Laser Rifle. Pointing it at Makkani, he says "Sadly, Makkani, Prvt. Duran is correct. Litha, there should be a shotgun behind the bar. I would appratiate if you would use it to cover our Kislevi friend here...Mr.Sonan, you seem to have made the rather foolish mistake of walking into a bar full of Gebler soliders. I suggest you drop your knife and gun." Lithia frowns, what a...lovely turn of events. "I don't use other weapons..." she walks towards the door and locks it, pulling out her gun and pointing it at Duran and Kale. "Drop your weapons, they aren't needed. Makkani, just come quietly and you won't have anything to worry about. I'll remind you two that weapons are not always nessacary..." she frowns evenly, oping she can just catch some loop hole eventually to prove her point, but hoping moreso that Makkani will do what she asks and go quietly. Makkani raises an eyebrow. "Drop them? Oh, come ON... I haven't even grabbed em yet... and I wouldn't be getting anymore Barkeeps into fights. The last one didn't care for it much." Makkani sighs slowly. "Do you guys really like Joseph enough to start a fight in a tavern? This place's been thorugh enough. And I don't believe I've ever killed a Gebler Officer." Makkani now chuckles slyly as his gaze falls on Duran. "Ah, pickle boy. I bet your feelin' pretty big now, eh?" Makkani pulls out his gun quickly and aims it at Duran. He then simply tosses it to the ground and walks over to Lithia. "Whatever you say, miss." He gives Duran another arrogant look. Duran shakes his head. "Joseph's my commanding officer. And that guy you killed wouldn't appreciate that comment very much." He kicks the gun to the other side of the room. "Good, now keep doing what the barke...lady said." He nods to Kale. "Keep something on him, make sure he doesn't run off." Kale sighs and shakes his head sadly. His ears droop, and his second eyelids half-cover his eyes. "Lithia...why did you have to go and do that...?" Kale keeps his lasar pointed at Makkani. "If you move another step, Makkani, I'm going to have to fire." Lithia frowns, shaking her head. "Didn't do anything Kale, just reminding you that death doesn't answer what can easily be fixed through other means. Makkani, could you go sit over there, please? Theres no cells, I trust you can behave yourself civily enough without causing me to decapitate you, right? You, go sit down or...something." she motions to Duran...she has no idea who he is, doesn't seem to care much either... she simply returns her gun to it's holster, picks up the guns and steps behind her counter again. Makkani nods. "Whatever you like, miss Lithia." He sits down where told. "I'll be good. No more poisoning, I -promise-." Duran nods to himself. "Okay, good, you keep doing that." He nods at Lithia. "Private Duran, of the Gebler Anti-Gear Soldiers division. Pleased to meet you," he says with the slightest bit of anger. "And...you'll probably be needing this." he hands an arrest warrant listing Makkani's grievances to her.
