((Logged 6/2/2000)) The Aveh Desert, Outside of Bart's Hideout Contents: Guest1 Julian Sigurd Talon Kurohito BladeWhip Microcamera Har has arrived. Erine has arrived. Talon notices his brothers odd behavior, slowly snapping out of his revelrei he watches Julian. Har follows Erine as the two walk through the sands. He coughs as a wind tosses up sand into his face and squints as people are revealed. Erine merely walks on through the sands, carelessly- holding her elaborated robes a few inches higher in order to better tread through the desert. Humming all the while, she barely seems to notice how she has to squint her eyes against the faint winds, touched and edged in sand, smiling faintly all the while. Julian turns slightly as his still raw ether senses pick up the entrance of the two. Casting his glare towards them he turns and faces them full on, ".........you" Talon looks towards the direction Julian is, he doesn't see anything through the storm. Sigurd looks up at Julian, blinking. That wasn't exactly what he'd expected to hear, but... "Yes. I am afraid of you, in a way. It'a human nature to fear what he doesn't understand. But I'm more afraid for the Young Master's safety--" He cut off as Julian turned away, squinting through the wind-blown sand. "Who is it...?" Erine never ceases her soft humming all the while- she could be on a peaceful summer walk as far as she seems to care. She casts a glance over her shoulder, a bright smile over her shoulder at Har, "Following well enough?" Her words are as faint as a bell chime across the wind. And with that she continues on, step by step. Julian raises a hand, squinting and trying to -feel- the presence of the two, "The Ethos girl, and another...........I don't know" Har holds a hand above his eyes to block out the sun. "Sure, sure." He walks a little closer, and grins at Julian. "You're looking better. How's your health been?" Julian turns his head away, 'Zecks, why do you have to be so rash about me........' he inhales deeply, saying nothing. Erine blinks a bit, finally casting her glance up. And she blinks at the lot of them, curiously. She follows Har from a distance of a few feet away, blinking slowly. And in note of Julian, of Talon. And she waves, beaming brilliantly, chiming merely, "'Allo!" Talon looks at the two oddly, he tries to move back to his gears leg, and does so slowly. Sigurd stays silent now, remaining still in his place sitting at the foot of the hideout's massive doors, hoping to observe a while before being noticed, his empathy reaching out to sense the new arrivals' motivations. Har rolls up the sleeves of his flight jacket in the desert heat. "Talon, nice to see you well," nodding and looking at Julian curiously. "Not any complications, I hope? I was worried when you disappeared like that, afraid you'd gotten worse." Julian raises a palm, "Please, I appreciate all you've done, be it not of my will or no." he sighs softly, "But I can't let you come any closer here" Talon leans against the gears leg, "Har, I need to ask you something, What happened to Dr. Kalvev after I left?" Erine turns her gaze instead to the Talon who sits edging away ever so carefully, "Well, hello, Talon! Oh, you look so much better than you did last time..." She chimes a brilliant beam, as she folds her hands lightly on top of each other, turning her gaze lighlty upon him, "Have you made up those community service deeds yet...?" Julian softly lids his eyes in a small amount of frustration, trying not to let it show he straightens up to his full height and calls out a second time, "Stop where you ARE!" his last word becoming a slight scream, "turn around go back to whence you came" he calls in that way of speaking he gets when he tries to sound meanicing Talon waits for Har to answer his question. Har fans a hand at his face. Desert heat, flight gear, just doesn't want to work for a nice temperature. "Hey, Julian, relax. We're not here to do anything strange. Just glad to know you're doing well. Anyway, nice to see you healthy too, Talon. Dr. Kalval? I don't know, I haven't seen her lately. Hey, it's not a problem if we stop by, is it--we were sort of in the neighborhood, had to look around." Erine casts a curious gaze to Julian, blinking sky-blue eyes ever so curiously at his response. And then, she giggles- a faint, chiming little sound of purest amusement and not the faintest hint of anything but glee, and turns away, turning her smile back onto Talon in wonder if he'll get around to her comment. Even if he doesn't, she still seems to hold that smile. Sigurd merely remains silent, letting the blowing sands mask his presence. Frankly, he didn't want to draw attention. Talon turns to Erine, "Yes. I have." Azazel (Gear) has arrived. Julian stays calm as his called gear touches ground, creating a small sandstorm behind him, calling up grains of sand to whip across his face Talon has disconnected. Kurohito falls asleep. Har shelters his eyes from the new sand that's being whipped up. He waves to Sigurd, "M'sr Harcourt." He starts shaking sand out of his jacket linings. "Anyway, we were in the area, and we're looking for a girl. Have you seen anyone in a patchwork dress around, talks a little funny, but might not talk that way, might have red hair, might not?" Sigurd blinks at that, rather surprised... he had no idea who these people were, how could that man know who he was? 'I didn't think I was -that- well known.' He pondered, slowly pushing away from the door and standing, but for now, he didn't approach. Erine looks.. A shade bored with the conversation at hand, clasping her hands simply behind her. Curiously, her gaze darts from spot to spot, glancing about if the surrounding sand-touched area was some means of a fascinating treasure. She casts another smile to Julian, but remains silent otherwise. Julian 's eyes opened at the mention of a patchwork dress and funny talk, he steps forward resting one hand on his gun at the waist the other now given up and hanging at his side, he narrows his eyes at both, "Sigurd nor I have any desire whatsoever to help you Solaris, Ethos. In fact, if I were to be so released from proper ettique I'd shoot the both of you. The best thing is for both of you to turn around and go back the way you came" Julian shakes his head a bit, 'Why am I defending Sigurd and the base? WHY?!' he thinks and sighs softly, not wanting to think about loyalities right now Har grins at Sigurd and almost as a startled afterthought, he holds out his arms and his jacket to show that he not only has no weapons, but doesn't even have a place on him to put them. "You've got a distinctive appearance. Sorry about the eye." He frowns at Julian. "Huh? Help us or shoot us? Julian, like I said, relax. Just because we're wearing uniforms doesn't mean that we're not here on private business, and I don't want anyone to be hurt. You think we're here to do something to somebody?" Erine wrinkles her nose lightly in response to Julian's reaction- its a mild, almost cute reaction, considering. And then she breaks into a brilliant smile, "Well -that's- not very nice! You wont get much anywhere in life if you're so reckless!" She smiles brightly, catching out a phrase, her voice held uncharacteristically calm for the length of its utterance, "...Its just not - logical-." Sigurd finally steps up near Julian, and perhaps a pace closer to the pair. "There is no one here fitting that description, nor has anyone passed through here like that. I'm sorry." As he finishes, he glances at Julian, murmuring, "One of these days, you're going to threaten something that will just as readily squash you as laugh at your gun-threats." Julian doesn't give Sigurd a look nor an acknowledgment as he holds out his left hand towards the duo, "I'm sorry, Ethos and Solaris citizens here, in the middle of the desert on private buisness? I can't buy that......." he trails before glancing towards Sigurd and muttering under his breath, "I shot Miang, how worse can I get?" Sigurd blinks, then looks down, a darkness seeming to settle over what was once a neutral, if not friendly expression. Erine giggles softly, faintly at Julian's words as if they were more a joke than a threat, "Oh, how -lovely-! Well, then. Think of it this way. An Ethos follower is not here. I am merely Erine, looking for a poor little sweet girl. But being gun-happy only buys people unpleasantries." She beams brilliantly- and utters the most cliche' and cheesy line of her life, "Let's just all try to be friends! That'll be so much nicer, wont it?" Har shrugs some more sand out of the jacket. "Hey, I like helping people. I saved *you* too, remember? There's nothing wrong about being a nice person, not the last that I heard. Anyway, M'sr Harcourt, thanks for your help. If you see her around, or anyone like that in the area, could you see if she's all right? Maybe make sure she didn't hurt herself on anything, see if she's fed?" Julian glances at Sigurd and sensing his dark mood start to close in again whispers, "I will be loyal to you and yours, even if my life is taken............I'm sorry, but my word is my bond....." then looks up towards the two and snorts, "Sister, the last thing I want from you is to be your friend, and I could care less if the atmosphere I create is unpleasant. If you haven't noticed, we have a war going on and we're on opposite ends." he stops for a moment and thinks, ".......and how do we know you don't want her for the - recruitment- you arses do?! Away with you" Sigurd nods softly, merely offering, "I will keep an eye out for a girl matching that description." A moment, then he adds, "Julian..? Shut up." "Becaaaause, Mister Julian.." Erine's words are half cooed for a moment, "She's my darling little sister! And I only want to make sure she's okay." Its all rather childish sounding. But even so, she beams all the while, untouched by his comments at all. "Recruitment?" Har glances at Erine quizzically, and then breaks into laughter. He wipes tears from his eyes and slaps his knees. "The last thing I want is for her to go anywhere near that kind of notice. Besides, I don't know if she'd like the uniforms." He recovers. If Sigurd's still noticing, then the intensity of his happiness is suddenly an equally strong, selfless worry. "Thanks again. It's really, *really* important that she's ok. If she comes by, maybe steer her to Bledavik? I'm really grateful, sorry to have bothered your time like this." Julian closes his eyes hard and summons all his strength to not do something emotional, for a long time he remains standing there, silent. 'He refuses my plea to help him everytime, why?' he thinks, 'I want to help, I want to help, I want to help................' the words echo. The strife in his innermost thoughts are not all opaque, some seep through, his face twisting, almost as if in pain. He turns his back to the two, stays silent. Sigurd nods quietly, finally looking up, and offering a bit of a smile to them. "I will send her to Bledavik if I see her, but I doubt she would have found her way this far out into the desert without proper rations of water...." Julian 's face is not seen, but it is crossed with lines of doubt, fear, regret and anquish. 'Is there no place for me? Mother proved I was nothing but trash in Solaris, Sigurd doesn't like me nor accept my offers.....pleas to help and even racing in Noctune felt wrong........................' he thinks, still silent. 'What is wrong with me??!' Har nods and bows deeply in gratitude. "She's.. *resourceful*. I hope she'll be all right. Again, thanks. Ready to go, Erine?" He starts to jog off, waving to Julian even though the man's back is turned. "And, hey, Julian! Cheer up, the stress is going to kill you someday! Both of you, stay healthy and happy!" Erine blinks a bit, and beams, nodding simply at Har, "Oh, of course..." She blinks a bit, raising her robes a bit higher, almost a dainty action, as she swiftly jogs off after him, "Oh, wait -up-, pleeease!" And never once does that smile break. Sigurd watches them go, slowly turning back toward the hideout, pulling a small object from his pocket, looking at it broodingly as he paces back toward the massive doors. Julian remains oblivious to the outside world, he is in his shell now, it was safe there. Went he doubted and hated himself the most, he felt as though that was when he was most accepted for some reason.
